How to Make CBD Gummies?
As a continuation of our occasional “How to make” series, today we are going to explore how to make your own CBD gummies at home.
There are a couple of different ways to do this, so we’re going to look at those individually so you can pick your favourite.
You’ll need moulds for these, you can buy those in most kitchenware stores as well as a myriad of places online. They come in all shapes and sizes so you can really put your personality into it. The flavours are all on you too, pick your own fruit and flavourings based on your own preferences and let us know how they turn out!
The Simple Method
Right, so none of these methods are going to be complex, basically because we much prefer the simple ways and the taste is comfortable good enough. If you’re looking for a recipe that takes more work, those can be found, but for us, the simple methods are the best.
That said, this is probably best described as The Simpler Method, but still, let’s get into it.
For this recipe you will need:
- Your chosen CBD Oil (we use 1ml, it’s best to change the strength of the oil for stronger or weaker options as opposed to increase the amount you use)
- Fruit (fresh is best, frozen will do too) (around ¾ cup)
- Unflavoured gelatine powder (6-10 teaspoons)
- Water (1/2 cup)
The method works as follows:
- Puree your fruit until smooth
- Mix the water and gelatine together and leave for 3 mins
- Stir the gelatine mixture and place over a low heat, stirring continuously until it becomes liquid
- Pour the hot gelatine mixture over the fruit puree and stir in the CBD oil
- Fill your moulds with the mixture and refrigerate for around half an hour
- Remove the moulds from the mixture, and you’re done. Store in the fridge or freezer
The Slightly More Complex Method
This is basically the same method as above but with a few more bits added in for good measure. You will need:
- Your chosen CBD Oil (we use 1ml, it’s best to change the strength of the oil for stronger or weaker options as opposed to increase the amount you use)
- Fruit (fresh is best, frozen will do too) (around ¾ cup)
- Unflavoured gelatine powder (6-10 teaspoons)
- Water (1/2 cup)
- Natural sweetener (3 tablespoons, you can use sugar too, it’s your call here)
- Vitamin C Powder (1/4 teaspoon)
- Powdered flavouring (optional)
The method here is similar to the above, except you add the sweetener, flavouring, and vitamin C and heat and whisk before adding the gelatine. Take the mixture off the gas when you add the gelatine and stir well, then follow the instructions above from number 3 onwards.
The big change here is that the flavouring means you can alter up the taste by adding some extra dimension to your fruit mix, and the vitamin C adds a nice tangy kick, and support for the immune system and general health and wellbeing too.
