How Long Does It Take For CBD Oil To Work?

The CBD world is full of mixed information. If you want to know how long it takes for CBD oil to work, for example, you’ll get a world of answers from immediately, to not for quite a while, normally they’re around that vague too.

The truth of the matter, if we’re being honest, is that there’s no direct answer to that question, because your experience will undoubtedly differ from the next person’s.

So, instead of coming up with an arbitrary number of days or weeks that CBD will take to work that may or not match up with your experiences, let’s instead take some time to study the two main factors that can affect how long CBD takes to work, and why it may be different from person to person.

  • Your Body Weight and Chemistry

These two aspects come up a lot, and in all honesty, we put more stock in one than we do in the other.

Body weight does, we accept, have a certain impact on the effects of CBD, from how much you should take, to how long it takes to work. But, it is not as vital a factor as some suggest. Sometimes, your tolerance for CBD will be lower than that of someone lighter than you and higher than that of somebody heavier than you, and that’s due to body chemistry.

Everyone’s body chemistry is different, and it affects how we respond to various herbs, minerals, nutrients, vitamins, and more. The reaction out body has to cannabinoids such as CBD and, in a different way, THC, also depends heavily on body chemistry.

There’s no way to test for body chemistry except for trial and error, so when it comes to amounts, we always recommend starting low, and when it comes to how long CBD takes to start to work fully, it’s a matter of wait and see.

Basically, what we’re saying here, is just because CBD worked in days for your friend and you’ve been waiting weeks doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t working, it may simply be a case of differing body chemistry.

  • Quality

Not all CBD oils are created equally. The industry is not well regulated, to say the least, and there are, unfortunately, some folk out there who are simply looking to make all the money they can in the shortest space of time, and for them, the quality of CBD oil is not the priority.

In fact, it has been suggested that a fairly large percentage of CBD products do not contain either the level of CBD, or often many of the other ingredients claimed on the packaging.

That’s something we’re proud to say we do not engage in. Everything you buy from us does exactly what it says on the packaging, and if we find out any third-party supplier we work with is being untrue on their packaging, we will immediately stop working with them. This isn’t much of a risk though, because we pick our partners as carefully as we produce our own products.

When it comes to high quality, broad spectrum CBD oils, the effects should be greater and the time it takes should lessen, so you should feel the effects sooner.

Estimated Times For How Long Does It Take For CBD Oil To Work…

Okay, so we’re not going to leave you without some numbers, so let’s have a go. In terms of the initial effects of taking CBD, anecdotal evidence suggests you should start to feel something within around half an hour, and you can expect those effects to last a few hours tops.

When it comes to the long term effects making a potential difference to how you feel day to day, stories differ greatly, for some it takes a few days, for other a few weeks. Our basic advice is if you haven’t started feeling something within a month, two max, give us a shout and we’ll discuss it with you to see if there’s anything that can be changed to aid the effects.
